Official biography

Robert A. McBride was appointed as an immigration judge to begin hearing cases in May 2026. Judge McBride earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1993 from Michigan State University, a Master of Science in 1996 from the University of North Dakota, a Master of Business Administration in 2003 from Webster University, and a Juris Doctor in 2018 from Faulkner University Thomas Goode Jones School of Law. From October 2023 to March 2025, he was a staff attorney at Wilkerson Bryan PC in Montgomery, Alabama. From May 2022 to October 2023, he was a staff attorney at Chambless Math & Carr in Montgomery, Alabama. In 2019, he served as a term clerk for the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Alabama. Prior to law school, he served in various positions and duties in the U.S. Air Force, retiring in 2013 at the rank of lieutenant colonel. Judge McBride is a member of the Alabama State Bar.

Education: Judge McBride earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1993 from Michigan State University, a Master of Science in 1996 from the University of North Dakota, a Master of Business Administration in 2003 from Webster University, and a Juris Doctor in 2018 from Faulkner University Thomas Goode Jones School of Law.

Bar admission: Judge McBride is a member of the Alabama State Bar.
