Official biography

Peter C. Faerber was appointed as an immigration judge to begin hearing cases in May 2026. Judge Faerber earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1992 from Ohio Wesleyan University and a Juris Doctor in 2006 from Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. From June 2024 to May 2026, he was the branch head of Legal Assistance at Judge Advocate Division, Headquarters Marine Corps at the Pentagon. From April 2023 to April 2024, he was an attorney at the Bateman Law Group, in Leavenworth, Kansas. From 2006 to 2021, he served as an active- duty judge advocate with the U.S. Marine Corps serving in various locations. From 2018 to 2024, he also handled veterans' cases on a pro- bono basis. Judge Faerber is a member of the Ohio State Bar.

Education: Judge Faerber earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1992 from Ohio Wesleyan University and a Juris Doctor in 2006 from Ohio State University Moritz College of Law.

Bar admission: Judge Faerber is a member of the Ohio State Bar.
