Minnie Dano Yuen- Tomlin was appointed as an immigration judge to begin hearing cases in November 2023. Judge Yuen- Tomlin earned a Bachelor of Arts in 2004 from Wellesley College and a Juris Doctor in 2009 from Brooklyn Law School. From 2017 to 2023, she served as a deputy chief counsel with the Office of the Principal Legal Advisor (OPLA), U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), in Los Angeles. From 2015 to 2017, she served as the senior advisor to the Principal Legal Advisor, OPLA, ICE, DHS, in Washington, D.C. From 2014 to 2015, she served as a special assistant U.S. attorney at the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Illinois in Chicago. From 2010 to 2014, she served as an assistant chief counsel with the OPLA, ICE, DHS, in Chicago. Judge Yuen- Tomlin is a member of the Illinois State Bar.
Education: Judge Yuen- Tomlin earned a Bachelor of Arts in 2004 from Wellesley College and a Juris Doctor in 2009 from Brooklyn Law School.
