Michael J. Hussey was appointed as a temporary immigration judge to begin hearing cases in October 2025. Judge Hussey earned a Bachelor of Arts in 2001 from the University of Cincinnati, a Juris Doctor in 2005 from the University of Dayton School of Law, and a Master of Laws in 2016 from George Washington University Law School. Judge Hussey was commissioned in the U.S. Navy Judge Advocate General's Corps in 2005 where he served in various roles including: defense counsel, staff judge advocate, and environmental counsel until his appointment. Judge Hussey is a member of the Ohio State Bar.

Education: Judge Hussey earned a Bachelor of Arts in 2001 from the University of Cincinnati, a Juris Doctor in 2005 from the University of Dayton School of Law, and a Master of Laws in 2016 from George Washington University Law School.
