Official biography

Lian Yeh was appointed as an immigration judge to begin hearing cases in March 2026. Judge Yeh earned a Bachelor of Arts in 2004 from State University of New York (SUNY) College at Geneseo and a Juris Doctor in 2014 from State University of New York (SUNY) Buffalo Law School. From 2020 to 2026, he served as an assistant chief counsel with the Office of the Principal Legal Advisor (OPLA), U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), in the following locations: Port Isabel, Texas (2020- 2023); Houston (2023- 2026). From 2018 to 2020, he served as an attorney advisor with the Office of Hearing Operations, U.S. Social Security Administration, in Syracuse, New York. From 2017 to 2018, he served as an assistant district attorney with the Jefferson County District Attorney's Office, in Watertown, New York. From 2016 to 2017, he was an associate with the Law Offices of Kim & Associates in Flushing, New York. Judge Yeh is a member of the New York State Bar.

Education: Judge Yeh earned a Bachelor of Arts in 2004 from State University of New York (SUNY) College at Geneseo and a Juris Doctor in 2014 from State University of New York (SUNY) Buffalo Law School.

Bar admission: Judge Yeh is a member of the New York State Bar.
