Joseph A. Weiner was appointed as an Immigration Judge to begin hearing cases in October 2022. Judge Weiner earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1999 from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Juris Do ctor in 2004 from the Santa Clara University School of Law. From 2012 to 2022, he was a staff at torney and then a s enior staff attorney with the Immigrants' Rights Project at Public Counsel in Los Angeles. From 2010 to 2012, he was an im migration staff attorney at the HIV and AIDS Legal Servi ces All iance in Los Angel es. From 2009 to 2010, he was in private practice in Los Angeles. From 2005 to 2009, he was an associate attorney at the Law Of fices of Rich ard D. Fr aade in Bev erly Hills, California. Judge Wein er is a member o f the State Bar of California.

Education: Judge Weiner earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1999 from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Juris Do ctor in 2004 from the Santa Clara University School of Law.
