Official biography
Jonathan Charles Andresen was appointed as an immigration judge to begin hearing cases in October 2025. Judge Andresen earned a Bachelor of Science in 2000 from Texas A&M University and a Juris Doctorate in 2004 from South Texas College of Law. From 2020 to 2025, he served as an assistant chief counsel with the Office of the Principal Legal Advisor, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Department of Homeland Security, in Houston. From 2004 to 2020, he was in private practice in Houston. Judge Andresen is a member of the State Bar of Texas.
Education: Judge Andresen earned a Bachelor of Science in 2000 from Texas A&M University and a Juris Doctorate in 2004 from South Texas College of Law.
Bar admission: Judge Andresen is a member of the State Bar of Texas.
