Official biography

Jacob Teichman Addicott was appointed as an immigration judge to begin hearing cases in October 2025. Judge Addicott earned a Bachelor of Science in 2004 from Florida International University and a Juris Doctor in 2013 from Florida International University College of Law. From 2016 to 2025, he served as an assistant chief counsel with the Office of the Principal Legal Advisor, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Department of Homeland Security, in Miami (2016- 2018) and New York City (2018- 2025), where he also served as legal counsel to Homeland Security Investigations, New York. From 2013 to 2016, he served as an assistant attorney general for the Florida Office of the Attorney General, Criminal Appeals Division. Judge Addicott is a member of the Florida Bar.

Education: Judge Addicott earned a Bachelor of Science in 2004 from Florida International University and a Juris Doctor in 2013 from Florida International University College of Law.

Bar admission: Judge Addicott is a member of the Florida Bar.
