Official biography

Gabriel K. Bradley was appointed as a temporary immigration judge to begin hearing cases in October 2025. Judge Bradley earned a Bachelor of Arts in 2006 from the University of Oregon, a Juris Doctor in 2009 from the University of Notre Dame, a Master of Arts in 2015 from the U.S. Naval War College, and a Master of Fine Arts in 2020 from the University of Southern California. From 2022 to 2025, he served as a deputy attorney general at the California Department of Justice in Los Angeles. In 2022, he served as a deputy public defender at the Los Angeles County Public Defender's Office in Torrance, California. From 2021 to 2022, he was a trial attorney at Public Defender Services of Lane County in Eugene, Oregon. He holds the rank of lieutenant commander in the Navy Reserve, and since 2016 he has served as a judge advocate in the following locations: Navy Reserve Center San Diego; Naval Base Point Loma; Navy Reserve Center Minneapolis; Naval Base San Diego; and Navy Reserve Center Oklahoma City. From 2009 to 2016, he served on active duty as a judge advocate in the following locations: Naval Base San Diego; Washington Navy Yard; and Naval Air Station Lemoore. Judge Bradley is a member of the State Bar of California and the Oregon State Bar.

Education: Judge Bradley earned a Bachelor of Arts in 2006 from the University of Oregon, a Juris Doctor in 2009 from the University of Notre Dame, a Master of Arts in 2015 from the U.S.
