Donald R. Ostrom was appointed as an immigration judge to begin hearing cases in November 2023. Judge Ostrom earned a Bachelor of Science in 2000 from George Mason University, a Juris Doctor in 2003 from Capital University Law School, and a Master of Laws in Military Law in 2009 from the United States Army Judge Advocate General's School. From 2003 to 2023, he served as a judge advocate in the U.S. Navy, which culminated in his service as the C ircuit Trial Judge, Navy and Marine Corps Trial Judiciary in Norfolk, Virginia. From 1990 to 1995, Judge Ostrom served in the U.S. Marine Corps. Judge Ostrom is a member of the Ohio State Bar.

Education: Judge Ostrom earned a Bachelor of Science in 2000 from George Mason University, a Juris Doctor in 2003 from Capital University Law School, and a Master of Laws in Military Law in 2009 from the United States Army Judge Advocate General's School.

Bar admission: Judge Ostrom is a member of the Ohio State Bar.
