Official biography

Casey S. Caton was appointed as a temporary immigration judge to begin hearing cases in May 2026. Judge Caton earned a Bachelor of Arts in 2015 from Hendrix College and a Juris Doctor in 2018 from Pepperdine University School of Law. From March 2024 to April 2026, he was a custodial eDiscovery manager at Walmart Inc., Bentonville, Arkansas, where he supported complex litigation, investigations, a nd regulatory matters through discovery operations, data governance, and dispute resolution support. From January 2019 to January 2025, he served on active duty as an E xecutive Office for Immigration Review, Office of Policy as sistant staff judge advocate with the U.S. Air Force, holding assignments at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida; Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico; Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea; and the U.S. Air Force Academy, Colorado. In those roles, he advised commanders on military justice, civil law, administrative law, ethics, contracts, claims, and investigations. From January 2025 to April 2026, he served as a deputy staff judge advocate with the 188th Wing, Arkansas Air National Guard, Fort Smith, Arkansas. Judge Caton holds the rank of major. Judge Caton is a member of the State Bar of Texas, and Bar of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces.

Education: Judge Caton earned a Bachelor of Arts in 2015 from Hendrix College and a Juris Doctor in 2018 from Pepperdine University School of Law.
