Official biography

Cait Irwin was appointed as an immigration judge to begin hearing cases in May 2024. Judge Irwin earned a Bachelor of Arts in 2009 from Texas State University and a Juris Doctor in 2014 from Oklahoma City University School of Law. From 2022 to 2024, she served as an assistant chief counsel with the Office of the Principal Legal Advisor, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Department of Homeland Security, in San Antonio. From 2014 to 2022, she served as an assistant district criminal attorney, serving from 2016 to 2022 in Bexar County, Texas, and from 2014 to 2016 in Oklahoma County, Oklahoma. Judge Irwin is a member of the State Bar of Texas.

Education: Judge Irwin earned a Bachelor of Arts in 2009 from Texas State University and a Juris Doctor in 2014 from Oklahoma City University School of Law.

Bar admission: Judge Irwin is a member of the State Bar of Texas.
