Attila Bogdan was appointed as an immigration judge to begin hearing cases in October 2025. Judge Bogdan earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1996 from Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington, and a Juris Doctorate and a Master of Business Administration in 1999 and 2000, respectively, from DePaul University in Chicago. From 2023 to 2025, he was an assistant U.S. attorney at the U.S. Attorney's Office in Tulsa, Oklahoma. From 2003 to 2023, he served as an assistant state's attorney at the Cook County State's Attorney's Office in Chicago. Since 2008, Judge Bogdan has served as a judge advocate general in the U.S. Air Force and the Wisconsin Air National Guard. He holds the rank of lieutenant colonel. Judge Bogdan is a member of the Illinois State Bar.
