Anthony A. Picione was appointed as an immigration judge to begin hearing cases in May 2026. Judge Picione earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1992 from Drew University and a Juris Doctor in 1995 from the University of Pennsylvania. From July 1999 to September 2024, he was with the New Jersey Department of Law and Public Safety and served as an assistant attorney general (January 2019-S eptember 2024), and a deputy attorney general (July 1999-J anuary 2019). From September 1996 to June 1999, he was an associate with Pitney, Hardin, Kipp & Szuch. Judge Picione is a member of the New Jersey State Bar and the Pennsylvania Bar.

Education: Judge Picione earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1992 from Drew University and a Juris Doctor in 1995 from the University of Pennsylvania.
