Alex G. Mason was appointed as an immigration judge to begin hearing cases in March 2026. Judge Mason earned a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Linguistics in 2007 from the University of Arizona and a Juris Doctor in 2013 from Brigham Young University - J. Reuben Clark Law School. From November 2018 to February 2026, he served as an assistant chief counsel with the Office of the Principal Legal Advisor (OPLA), U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), in Tucson, Arizona (2020- 2026) and Eloy, Arizona (2018- 2020). From January 2014 to November 2018, he served as deputy county attorney at the Pima County Attorney's Office in Tucson. Judge Mason is a member of the State Bar of Arizona.

Education: Judge Mason earned a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Linguistics in 2007 from the University of Arizona and a Juris Doctor in 2013 from Brigham Young University - J.

Bar admission: Judge Mason is a member of the State Bar of Arizona.
