Official biography
Alec J. Niziolek was appointed as an Immigration Judge to begin hearing cases in October 2022. Judge Niziolek earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1999 from Utica College of Syracuse University and a Juris Doctorat e in 2002 from the Indiana University- Bloomington Maurer School of Law. From 2006 to 2022, he was an assistant chief counsel, U.S.Immigration and Customs Enforcem ent, Department of Homeland Security,i n Arizona, and during this time from 2020 to 2022 he served as the em bedded attorney with Homeland Security Investigations. From 2003 to 2006, he was an associat e attorney with Collins & Martin, PC, in Wethersfi eld, Connecticut. Judge Niziolek is a mem ber of the Connecticut Bar.
Education: Judge Niziolek earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1999 from Utica College of Syracuse University and a Juris Doctorat e in 2002 from the Indiana University- Bloomington Maurer School of Law.
