Kieran Lalor

Kieran M. Lalor was appointed as an immigration judge to begin hearing cases in March 2026. Judge Lalor earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 1998 from the Providence College and a Juris Doctorate in 2007 from Pace University School of Law. From October 2018 to February 2026, he was the founding member of the Lalor Law Firm PLLC in Hopewell Junction, New York. From January 2013 to December 2022, he served as an assemblyman in the New York State Legislature, representing Dutchess County, New York. From May 2016 to September 2018, he was an attorney at Wallace & Wallace LLP in Poughkeepsie, New York. From January 2014 to April 2016, he was an attorney at Gaines Novick LLP in White Plains, New York. From January 2009 to June 2012, Judge Lalor was the assistant to the general counsel at American Defense Systems Inc. in Hicksville, New York. From 2000 to 2006, Judge Lalor was an infantryman in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve and mobilized twice in the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks deploying to Nasiriyah, Iraq, and also served in Norway, Ukraine, Japan, and Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. From 1998 to 2000, he taught social studies at Our Lady of Lourdes High School in Poughkeepsie, New York. Judge Lalor is a member of the New York State Bar.
