Gary Leroy Bergosh was appointed as an immigration judge to begin hearing cases in October 2025. Judge Bergosh earned an Associates of Arts in 1987 from Pensacola State College, a Bachelor of Arts in 1989 from the University of West Florida, and a Juris Doctor in 1992 from the University of Memphis. From 2024 to 2025, he served as a Department of Homeland Security attorney teaching law to Border Patrol agents at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Artesia, New Mexico, and handl ing immigration cases before EOIR in El Paso, Texas. From 2007 to 2024, he served as a Florida circuit court judge for the First Judicial Circuit of Florida in Pensacola. From 1996 until 2007, he served as a senior civilian attorney with the General Counsel's Office for the Department of Defense and th e Department of the Navy and was an assistant state attorney in Pensacola. From 1989 to 2013, he served on active and reserve duty with the U.S. Marine Corps, and in 2003, was the executive officer of the 4th Assault Amphibian Battalion in Iraq. Judge Bergosh is a member of the Florida Bar.

Education: Judge Bergosh earned an Associates of Arts in 1987 from Pensacola State College, a Bachelor of Arts in 1989 from the University of West Florida, and a Juris Doctor in 1992 from the University of Memphis.
