Matthew N. Andrasko was appointed as an immigration judge in May of 2026 after serving as a temporary immigration judge first at the Salt Lake City Immigration Court from October to November 2025, and then at the El Paso Immigration Court from November 2025 to April 2026. Judge Andrasko earned a Bachelor of Arts in 2002 from Brigham Young University and a Juris Doctorate in 2009 from Texas Tech University School of Law. From 2015 to April 2026, he served as an attorney advisor to the U.S. Air Force. From 2011 to 2015, he served as an assistant district attorney at the 9th Judicial District in Eastern New Mexico. From 2009 to 2011, he served as an assistant public defender at the New Mexico Public Defender's Office. Since 2003, Judge Andrasko has been a commissioned military officer in the U.S. Army and then the U.S. Air Force Reserves. He holds the rank of lieutenant colonel. Judge Andrasko is a member of the State Bar of New Mexico.

Education: Judge Andrasko earned a Bachelor of Arts in 2002 from Brigham Young University and a Juris Doctorate in 2009 from Texas Tech University School of Law.

Bar admission: Judge Andrasko is a member of the State Bar of New Mexico.
