Bryan M. Davis was appointed as a temporary immigration judge to begin hearing cases in October 2025. Judge Davis earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1998 from Bucknell University, a Master of Arts in 2000 from Johns Hopkins University, and a Juris Doctorate in 2007 from the University of Baltimore. Judge Davis has been on active duty in the U.S. Navy since 2007 and holds the rank of commander. Since 2023, he has served as the deputy director for Criminal Law Policy in the Office of the Judge Advocate General, Washington, D.C. From 2020 to 2023, he served as the senior prosecutor at Region Legal Service Office Southwest, San Diego. From 2018 to 2020, he served as officer-in-charge, Defense Service Office (DSO) North, Naples, Italy. From 2015 to 2018, he served as assistant senior defense counsel and senior defense counsel at DSO Southwest, San Diego, California. From 2012 to 2015, he served as a prosecutor with the Office of Military Commissions in Washington, D.C. From 2010 to 2012, he served as defense counsel at Naval Legal Service Office (NL S O ), Pensacola, Florida. From 2008 to 2010, he served as defense counsel at NLSO , San Diego. Judge Davis is a member of the Maryland State Bar.
