Christopher R. Ford was appointed as an immigration judge to begin hearing cases in May 2026. Judge Ford earned a Bachelor of Science in Crime, Law, & Justice in 2008 from Pennsylvania State University and a Juris Doctor in 2012 from Washington and Lee University School of Law. From January 2026 to May 2026, he served as counsel for the Immigration Law and Practice Division with the Office of the Principal Legal Advisor (OPLA), U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), in Orlando, Florida. From March 2023 to January 2026, he served as assistant chief counsel with OPLA, ICE, in Laredo, Texas. From July 2019 to March 2023, he served as assistant regional counsel with the Office of the General Counsel, Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), in New York, New York. From October 2016 to July 2019, he served as an attorney advisor with the Departmental Appeals Board, HHS, in Washington, D.C. From November 2014 to October 2016, he served as an attorney advisor with the Office of Medicare Hearings and Appeals, HHS, in Arlington, Virginia. Judge Ford is a member of the New Jersey State Bar and the Pennsylvania Bar.
