Robert L. Martin was appointed as an immigration judge to begin hearing cases in March 2026. Judge Martin earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1991 from Saint Leo College, a Juris Doctor in 1995 from the Cumberland School of Law, Samford University, and a Master of Laws in 2007 from the Army Judge Advocate General's School. From January 2024 to February 2026, he was the presiding judge of the Odessa Municipal Court in Odessa, Texas. From May 2015 to December 2023, he served as a senior attorney advisor at U.S. Army Mission and Installation Contracting Command, Fort Sam Houston, Texas. He previously served as an Army judge advocate until his retirement from active duty in May 2015. Judge Martin is a member of the State Bar of Texas.
