Nicholas B. Lucic was appointed as an immigration judge to begin hearing cases in October 2025. Judge Lucic earned a Bachelor of Science in 2001 from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Juris Doctor in 2006 from Loyola Law School. From 2016 to 2025, he served as an assistant chief counsel with the Office of the Principal Legal Advisor, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Department of Homeland Security, in Adelanto, California, and Houston, Texas. From 2014 to 2016, he served as an investigator with the Employee Benefits Security Administration, Department of Labor, in Pasadena, California. From 2012 to 2014, he served as an attorney advisor with the Office of Disability Adjudication and Review, Social Security Administration, in Woodlawn, Maryland. From 2008 to 2012, he was in private practice in California. Judge Lucic is a member of the State Bar of California.

Education: Judge Lucic earned a Bachelor of Science in 2001 from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Juris Doctor in 2006 from Loyola Law School.

Bar admission: Judge Lucic is a member of the State Bar of California.
