Deborah D. Dictson was appointed as an immigration judge to begin hearing cases in May 2026. Judge Dictson earned a Bachelor of Science in 2003 from New Mexico State University and a Juris Doctor in 2006 from Texas Tech School of Law. From February 2015 to April 2026, she served as a special prosecutor at the Special Prosecution Unit serving several counties in west Texas. From January 2013 to February 2015, she served as first assistant district attorney at the Cherokee County District Attorney's Office in Rusk, Texas. From June 2010 to May 2012, she served as a felony prosecutor with the Matagorda County District Attorney's Office in Bay City, Texas. From September 2006 to May 2010, she served as a DWI prosecutor and children's court attorney with the Third Judicial District Attorney's Office in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Judge Dictson is a member of the State Bar of Texas.

Education: Judge Dictson earned a Bachelor of Science in 2003 from New Mexico State University and a Juris Doctor in 2006 from Texas Tech School of Law.

Bar admission: Judge Dictson is a member of the State Bar of Texas.
