Christopher R. Day was appointed as a temporary immigration judge to begin hearing cases in October 2025. Judge Day earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1995 from Colgate University, a Juris Doctor in 1998 from American University, Washington College of Law, and a Master of Laws in 2002 from Georgetown University Law Center. From 2023 to 2025, he served as an associate general counsel with the Office of General Counsel at the Federal Communications Commission. Judge Day also serves as a lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve Judge Advocate General's Corps. Judge Day is a member of the District of Columbia Bar and the South Carolina Bar.

Education: Judge Day earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1995 from Colgate University, a Juris Doctor in 1998 from American University, Washington College of Law, and a Master of Laws in 2002 from Georgetown University Law Center.

Bar admission: Judge Day is a member of the District of Columbia Bar and the South Carolina Bar.
